How did you keep track of your PC games before Steam? My idea was to make my own little GUI application.

Oyunsayar (lit. “game counter”) supported adding games with launchers or command-line parameters, had nifty features such as AFK detection and play time warning, and you could take screenshots with it too.

One special feature was the “commentator”. While you could just view your statistics as periodic graphs, Oyunsayar had personas to comment on your gaming habits and give you an earful:

Hear me out, my child. Years will pass by, and you will suddenly find yourself at the end of your life. My grandfather used to say, “it is as if I have woken up from a dream”. I did not believe him at the time, but it turns out he was right. Appreciate your youth, do not waste it on these games.
